Based on a 26 MHz ARM Cortex M3 processor, the ADuCM355 from Analog Devices controls and measures electrochemical and biosensors. The device can be used for such applications as industrial gas sensing, instrumentation, vital-signs monitoring, and disease management.
Able to perform current, voltage, and impedance measurements, the ADuCM355 delivers conversion rates of up to 400 ksamples/s with an input range of ±0.9 V. An input multiplexer before the part’s 16-bit ADC allows input-channel selection. Input channels include three external current inputs, multiple external voltage inputs, and internal channels. Current inputs include three transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs) with programmable gain and load resistors. The internal channels allow diagnostic measurements of the internal supply voltages, die temperature, and reference voltages.
